Soon, teeming fans of David Adeleke, a.k.a Davido, will see him in action when the movie, John Zerebe is released! The action-packed flick is going to be produced by his cousin, Ikechukwu Ojeogwu Francis and directed by Teco Benson.

In an interview with Encomium Weekly held at his residence at Lekki Lagos, the film-maker revealed his passion for movies and why he’s featuring his cousin, Davido.

What informed the choice of Davido?

I didn’t feature him because he’s popular. The choice of Davido is not to make the film to be accepted by the general public. I believe that my cousin, Davido really fits the role for which he was chosen. This was not favouritism. Although, Davido may have become a huge success in the music world, this would be his first time in a movie.

Nigerian Censors Board Bans Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s “Half of A Yellow Sun” Blockbuster Movie

According to reports, The Nigeria Film and Video Censorship Board, (NFVCB), has banned the widely publicized and internationally acclaimed film, “Half of A Yellow Sun” which has been premiered in Nigeria.

Reliable sources disclosed that the film was banned because it somehow promotes Biafra, as it was mentioned repeatedly in the movie, though promoters are making frantic efforts to remove the offensive sections and get the film approved.

Mad Man Arrested In Possession Of N4 Million, Human Parts & Ammunition In Benin [Report]

PM News exclusively reports that a suspected ritual killer who specializes in selling human parts has been arrested by security operatives in Benin City, the Edo State capital, southern Nigeria.

The man, whose identity is yet to be revealed, was allegedly arrested at the Upper Sokponba road area of Benin with cut to size gun, different human parts and N4 million cash.

It was reliably gathered that the man had lived in a make-shift apartment for close to two years, pretending to be a madman.

Nigerian Supreme Court has voided the legendary Igbo law and custom, which forbid a female from inheriting her late father’s estate, on the grounds that it is discriminatory and conflicts with the provision of the constitution.

The apex court held that the practice conflicted with section 42(1)(a) and (2) of the 1999 Constitution. End Of An Era: Nokia Phone Division Set To Be Renamed Microsoft Mobile [Report]

Ahead of the closure of Nokia-Microsoft deal before the end of April, a leaked letter in Finland shows that Nokia Oyj will be soon renamed as Microsoft Mobile Oy.

According to a report on wmpoweruser.com, a website that tracks developments related to Windows Phone, in a letter Nokia has told its sellers in Finland that the deal with Microsoft will close soon. Both Microsoft and Nokia had said in March that the deal would close by the end of April.

"Please note that upon the close of the transaction between Microsoft and Nokia, the name of Nokia Corporation/Nokia Oyj will change to Microsoft Mobile Oy. Microsoft Mobile Oy is the legal entity name that should be used for VAT IDs and for the issuance of invoices," the company reportedly said in the leaked letter.
